How Does an Escape-Chair BRAKE?
The unique glide/brake system makes the braking of the Escape-Chair possible on all different kinds of stairs, from wood to concrete. This braking system is optimized by the weight of the evacuee, in combination with the pressure of the operator pushing down on the handle in the direction of the stairs.
Warranty
The Escape-Chair models have a 6 year warranty on non wearing parts (not including glide belts).

HOW DOES AN Escape-Carry Chair BRAKE?
The unique glide/brake system while descending the stairs makes the braking of the Escape-Carry Chair possible on all different kinds of stairs, from wood to concrete. This braking system is optimized by the weight of the evacuee, in combination with the pressure of the operator pushing down on the handle in the direction of the stairs. No brake is required in an ascending evacuation as the carrying handles allow you to stop on each step if required.
