Back in 1987, Mr. Herman van Leeuwen, started selling evacuation chairs in the Benelux countries and Germany. Later he introduced the “Van Leeuwen evacuation chairs”. These were the predecessors of the Escape-Chair®. A few years later the Escape-Mattress® and the Escape-Sheet® models were added to the programm as well.
